Plastering old Walls.

Once you’ve Stripped your walls its time for preparation for the  plasterer/ Dry Wall Stopper.

You must remove anything that is loose, scraps of drywall by giving it a light sand with 180 grit sand paper then cut any bubbles in the old dry wall out making sure you dont leave any little scraps of wall hanging out.

Now it’s time to call your Drywall or Plastering Company.

They will want to know a few things.

Question 1 :

What type of finish do you want a wall paper plastering finish or a paint Plastering finish?

They will need to know this from the start to determine what type of plastering / Drywall system to use.

Question 2:

What are you going to be using between the wall and ceiling junction?

i.e. plasterers cove, Wooden scotia’s, Square stopping ( internal corners) ect…
